She has a diploma in Law obtained in 1997 and is a member of Bucharest Bar since 1998.

In 2001, she became in-house lawyer within a notorious group of companies which carry on various activities in medical and pharmaceutical fields: trade with medical products, medical assistance and laboratory services, production and distribution of medical software.

Ana Maria Portnoi assisted the companies of the group in identifying the risks and exposure in relation with transactions, disputes and litigation, in negotiation and conclusion of supply contracts and contracts for acquisition of products, services and works on a national level, as well as on a EU level.

Her other main areas of expertise are commercial and corporate law, labour law, real estate, dispute resolution and litigation, public procurement.

From October 2013, Ana Maria Portnoi became a certified mediator.

She speaks English and French.
